Third Eye Blind "Exiles" on Exclaim! TV
Published Oct 04, 2016Occasionally major band revivals can be disillusioning, but not Third Eye Blind's. The San Francisco rockers attracted a huge audience in the '90s with seminal hits such as "Semi-Charmed Life" and "Jumper," so although the five-piece had a six-year gap between their 2009 LP release and last year's Dopamine, the group proved that they're just as tight as they were when they started. Currently touring their latest album across the world, Exclaim! TV caught up with long-time frontman Stephan Jenkins at WayHome Music & Arts Festival for an intimate performance.
On this episode, Jenkins provides solo performance of "Exiles" that's uninhibited and loose, with the lead singer taking an acoustic approach to the Dopamine cut. Jenkins sits calmly in the forest with his guitar, waxing poetic as he confronts feelings of loneliness and even throws in a David Bowie reference.
