Morrissey Just Performed His First Canadian Show in over 15 Years in Toronto
The performance follows a lengthy boycott and a string of postponements
Numerous posts on social media confirm that Morrissey did indeed perform at the Sony Centre as scheduled. According to a setlist that's already been posted on setlist.fm, Moz played Smiths songs like "That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore," "What She Said" and "How Soon Is Now?" Interestingly, the published setlist says that the show began with an intro from Céline Dion's "My Heart Will Go On."
See some photos and video clips of the show at the bottom of the page.
The performance comes on the heels of a string of postponed Western Canadian shows due to a "medical emergency." Dates in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Winnipeg were recently delayed until October.
Prior to that, Morrissey infamously boycotted Canada for over a decade due to our country's seal hunt. Now that Moz is back, he's already been protesting the clothing brand Canada Goose for animal cruelty.
