Bruce Springsteen's Jeep Ad Pulled Following Drunk Driving Arrest
The high-profile commercial can no longer be seen on YouTube
Published Feb 10, 2021Today news emerged that Bruce Springsteen is heading to court after recently being arrested for drunk driving. Now his new Super Bowl ad for Jeep has been pulled from YouTube in the wake of the news.
The newly aired ad marked Springsteen's first-ever advertisement appearance, but already, the Jeep ad called "The Middle" has been pulled down over on YouTube. Besides appearing in the ad, Springsteen wrote and produced music for the commercial.
As Pitchfork points out, the ad remains live on Instagram as of press time, and it's unclear if Jeep will be pulling the commercial in a wider capacity.
As previously reported, Springsteen was arrested November 14 at Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, NJ. The songwriter was cited for DWI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area.
He is due to appear in court in the upcoming weeks.
