After delaying the arrival of his Show Pony EP, Orville Peck has set a new release date for the effort, as well as offered up some photographic evidence that his Shania Twain collaboration is very real. The Canadian cowboy's latest will now arrive August 14 through his new label home, Columbia, after failing to arrive on schedule last month. As previously reported, Show Pony features a song with Canadian country crossover icon Shania Twain, titled "Legends Never Die."
In announcing the EP's new release date, Peck shared a couple of photos from the sessions you can see below, calling the collab "a dream come true."
Show Pony follows Orville Peck's 2019 debut Pony. As he previously explained in a statement, "I loved my experience with Pony. However, Show Pony is a more confident perspective and allows me to share even more both lyrically and musically. Like all country albums, Show Pony is a little collection of stories — some sad, some happy‚ and I am excited for people to hear it."

hey everybody! Just got word that the official release date for 'Show Pony' will be Aug 14th. I wrote a duet for it and somehow wrangled one of my all time country music icons for it. Genuinely this is a dream come true🥺. More soon! #letsgogirls pic.twitter.com/qPDb8E26bV
