Published Apr 04, 2020Marianne Faithfull is currently recovering in a London hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.
The news was shared in a Facebook post by longtime friend and fellow performer Penny Arcade, who said that the 73-year-old singer best known for her hit single "As Tears Go By" has been in the hospital since March 31.

In a statement to Rolling Stone, Faithfull's representatives confirmed the details of Arcade's post, adding that Faithfull "is stable and responding to treatment. We all wish her well and a full and speedy recovery."
