It's safe to say everyone is handling the coronavirus pandemic in different ways — but some of us, like Madonna, are making it way weirder than it has to be.

Once again making headlines, the singer has stepped back into the virtual spotlight after posting a bizarre video from her bathtub. In the clip, Madonna goes on a COVID-19 rant from the confines of her white marble tub, calling the virus the "great equalizer," as she is surrounded by dried flowers with eerie piano music playing in the background.

Commenters were quick to call the speech "ignorant," "tone-deaf" and "ironic," with one individual telling the singer, "You have people who go out to fetch you your food and rose petals. You probably even have people to draw your bath. You have no idea what normal people are facing. So shut up."

Read her full speech below.

That's the thing about COVID-19, it doesn't care about how rich you are, how famous you are, how funny you are, how smart you are, where you live, how old you are, what amazing stories you can tell. It's the great equalizer and what's terrible about it is what's great about it. What's terrible about it is that it's made us all equal in many ways, and what's wonderful about it is that it's made us all equal in many ways. Like I used to say at the end of 'Human Nature' every night, if the ship goes down, we're all going down together.

This speech follows a number of odd social media rants and questionable performances posted to the artist's Instagram in the past few weeks. Most of her recent videos have started to become pretty disturbing — but at least she's stopped going on about how boring Canada is.
