Published Sep 30, 2019In 1994, Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love purchased a house in Seattle. That same year, Cobain committed suicide in the very same house. Now, the property — a 117-year-old four-bedroom, four-bath — is on the market for $7.5 million USD.
The Ewing & Clark listing describes the house as "a perfectly maintained home of extraordinary presence situated upon a beautiful, park-like lot in the heart of Denny Blaine." It goes on to list the home's many luxurious features including "a shingled exterior distinguished by expressive windows, stone accents & Queen Anne styling, completely updated throughout. Gracious rooms enhanced by an open floor plan & fine millwork. Views of gardens, Lake Washington & Cascades."
Photos of the home are included in the listing, but none of them show the inside of the house. However, from what can be seen on the outside, it does look incredible.
Take a look at the home here.
The listing makes no mention of the Nirvana frontman's suicide or the home's past inhabitants. It does, however, call the purchase a "once in a lifetime opportunity!"
