Published Dec 16, 2016While Spencer Tweedy may so far be best known for forming half of Tweedy with his Wilco-fronting dad Jeff Tweedy, he's now officially released his first record as a solo artist.
Celebrating his 21st birthday, Spencer Tweedy dropped his first solo EP today (December 16), giving the four-track offering the title of Geezer Love.
As you'd expect, the mini-release comes with an approach that equally dabbles in the worlds of Americana and experimentalism, with Tweedy's cool, sweetly sung vocals leading the charge.
Yes, Geezer Love is a short one, but it's one that's definitely worth your while if you've fallen in love with his father's work over the years, showing a promise for the younger Tweedy's musical future.
