To celebrate the commitment of these devoted music fans, we scoured social media and rounded up a gallery of our favourite tattoos inspired by Canadian music. These run the gamut from simple, classy lyric tats to colourful logos to elaborate portraits — and everything in between.
We limited ourselves to one tattoo per artist — but take a deep dive through the Instagram hashtags and you can find an incredible wealth of gorgeous Orville Peck ink (plus this wild cherub), some truly hilarious Drake portraits, and more Alexisonfire tattoos than we can begin to count. There's also some mind-boggling tattoo inception going on, since lots of people have inadvertently gotten Fefe Dobson tributes (in the form of Yelawolf portraits that include his "Fefe" face tat).
See the tattoos below — and be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to look at the Nickelback photograph. Every time we do it makes us laugh.
